In 2001, Surabi Matriculation School was established with the approval of TN government at NGGO Colony, Namakkal. Steady growth has continued throughout the first decade of its inception. Today we upgraded to higher secondary and cater to 1100 students of Namakkal, Erode, Tiruchengode, and Chennai regions of Tamil Nadu state.
As non-paid public servants, the Surabi Board of Trustees sees our function as part of an unending commitment to the Tamil Nadu state, and India, by and large, and its people by ensuring that through Surabi and its community of teachers, scholars, engineers, and students, we aspire to transmit our heritage, to move toward a more humane and caring world, to bring fresh vision and new discipline to the fund of human knowledge, to enliven curiosity, and to cherish the life of the mind in its fullest exploration and expression.
In fulfilling our appointed obligations, we are pledged to maintain the high quality of Surabi's programs of instruction and public service; to monitor judiciously the development of and additions to those programs; and to sustain, through them, Surabi's diverse and comprehensive educational contributions to the people of Tamil Nadu state and India. After a spectacular stint of 33 years of teaching Tamil literature in government s, Marimuthu finally realized a long-standing dream to start his own private and impart quality education to young and curious minds. As the Chairman today, he founded the Amuthasurabi Educational Trust in Namakkal in 2001, and subsequently surged to build Surabi Matriculation and Surabi Polytechnic College.
It has been rewarding and meaningful to take an active leadership role in promoting education along with her husband through Surabi s for the past decade or so. Prior to co-founding the Amuthasurabi Edcuational Trust, Dhanalakshmi has taught Tamil literature in government s for 33 illustrious years. As an administrator with a passion for curriculum and instruction, she finds great enjoyment from the instructional leadership that her membership in the Board of Trustees offers.
Tamilarasi learned at an early age the value of education and life-long learning. Her marriage to Gopumadhavan only intensified her passion to teach and lead an institute of quality education. Tamilarasi is the Principal of Surabi Matriculation . Her commitment for literacy, coupled with her strong desire to share exemplary teaching practices led to numerous experiences serving the educational community in staff development, district, and -wide.
Gopumadhavan is the Dean and President of Surabi Polytechnic College and Surabi Matriculation . After his BE in Mechanical Engineering from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, he armed himself with ME in Production Engineering at Annamalai University. He worked for 5 years after graduating in an engineering college to gain on-hands training to become an academician. He received M. Phil in Future Studies from Gandhigram Rural University and is an active engineer in professional membership clubs.
He strives to create a community where teachers and staff truly believe that every student can and will learn. Using data to drive instruction and focusing on the Improvement Plan to increase student achievement is his chief goal. Gopu involves teachers, parents, and students in the decision-making process and promotes respectful relationships throughout the entire Surabi community.
